Is this a good trigger for the AR-15?

I just insalled a 3lb timney drop in for my varminter. I haven't had it on the range yet but for snap caps...this thing is night and day from my M4gery or the duty weapon. I'm planning on posting some feedback on the trigger once a day at the range is accomplished.

I've got about 300 rounds on my Timney drop in trigger in an Armalite lower used for .223 and 6.8 uppers. I like it better than the JP Ent. adjustable trigger but not as well as my 2-stage NM triggers. The Timney has a little bit of creep, but this may smooth out over time. If you like a single stage trigger that is a snap to install Timney is great. I think Paul from MSTN gave a very detailed review of some of the AR15 triggers on another thread, you may want to seach for that review. I remember reading it and it was very good---Paul's advice is allways top notch.

I just installed a 3 lb. Timney in my Stag 3L and it is a HUGE improvement over the factory trigger. Very easy to install even for a rookie like me!  For a single stage, I think they're great. Now shooting less than one inch groups (with good optics) at 100 yds. with good ammo; not too shabby for an old fart with one eye!!!!

I have a 4lb Timney in a 6.8 SPC.  Only about 400 rounds through it but very pleased.  I prefer it to a 2-stage RRA NM trigger on another rifle I own.

I have 2 - 3lb versions in my 6920's and they are very, very nice...buy with confidence!

Cheers,
