I have a post ban A2 that has a pinned compensator. I want to remove it so I can use the rifle for CMP service rifle matches. Now that the AWB has expired, I believe there is no legal problem with this. Does anyone know otherwise? |
| What is the barrel length? If the barrel itself is shorter than 16", you cannot legally remove it unless you have done the paper work, paid your $200, and acquired your tax stamp for a SBR. If the barrel length is 16" or greater, you would not have a problem. I would consult a gunsmith before you think about removing the compensator. |
