[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Cost for replacing front sight base?

Anyone have an idea how much a gunsmith might charge to replace a gas block with a regular F marked front sight base? I was thinking of getting an upper, but it just has a gas block and I'd prefer a FSB. If it's a Bushmaster product, would they do the installation for free if I sent it back to them and bought the FSB from them?

I'd would get a FSB that fits the barrel and change it myself.

put a piece of leather around it and snug it up in a vise, then pound out the roll pins and have a blast learning to modify your rifle.

The AR-smiths (around here) charge about $35 for a simple swap.
