| I called Magpul, It would be real nice if you could just by a grip Alone without any "do Dad's"... I know I am not the only one with a pile of useless plastic sitting around... I have enough parts to make 3 or 4 more grips If I could just buy Grip Bodies.. Sorry Just me venting.. It's like charging $2,000.00 for an upper that only comes with 5 barrels when you only need one.. |

I wouldn't want to speak for Rich, but it may be that they are just able to produce enough to turn out the kits. There also may be very little demand. If I find a grip I like, I try to outfit all my rifles the same. This would mean that I am using the same front and rear strap, so the only parts left over would be the ones I didn't want to use. Of course if there were bodies available, then it would be nice to be able to put the unused kit parts on the EE. However, I think it's a bit strange to compare a $35 grip to a $2000 rifle. I generally don't need to save for months for a grip.

The 'do dads' as you call them are the parts that allow the MIAD to be customized to your hand. The 'do-dads' that you like to use are probably different than the ones I like, or the ones Aimless uses, or .... well you get the idea. If you don't need the extras (and nobody does) then you can just toss them. |
| While the extra parts may seem like a waste, the fact is that manufacturing and stocking the grip in different configurations likely wouldn't be cost effective. No matter what version offered, someone would want pieces not found in a set. Stocking and selling all the parts separately would certainly cost more for the extra packaging and inventory control. Plastic is cheap. |
Toss em??? Blasphemy!!!! If they did sell the center they could cause thousands of Arfcommers to build new rifles to go with the completer grips they have laying around. |
