Which do you prefer? And is full auto really worth it beside spray and pray?

It should read, which can you afford

full auto is fun, but I put more hits on target in semi auto.

For use in actual combat semi may be better. F/A is mainly suited for SMGs and crew served stuff.

Full.

You can always leave it in Semi, but not vice-versa.

Full auto has its uses, in the real world and at the range. To me, it's just something to enjoy and have fun with, but there may come a day where it's better to have it and not need it than to need it and not have it.

If I ever win the lottery, then I'll drop 10 - 15 thousand dollars on a full auto lower.  Hell, I might buy two.

If I'm clearing a house, or a back alley, my selector would be on Auto.  Out in the sticks, it'd be semi.

Since I shoot paper and steel  I like full auto more because it is more fun.

Auto, if you can afford it!

When I can afford it, I will have a full auto lower....

Not that I would ever use it, but it would be fun!

I'm not military or anything but if I had to 'clear' anything, I'd have selector on full. For normal patrol use, semi would be fine.

I would like to have a full auto lower mainly because there are people that don't think we should be allowed to have them.

If I could afford it and the ammo I would deffinately have full auto or burst on almost every gun I own.

I love taking my M11 to the range, because all the Fudds get their panty's in a twist about a young guy with a machinegun.

Then I let them shoot it and they want one

Combat?  I've used an M16A2 in burst and just kept pulling the trigger, so it was sorta full auto.  Accuracy by volume is not the only reason to have FA or burst.  There are tons of other reasons to have FA/Burst such as breaking contact, ambush, counter ambush & preventing an over run of your position.

Options are alway nice when different tasks come about. Semi for open space and full for CQB are nice options to have.
Your still controlling the trigger either way.

Semi! It gives you a controlled, acurate shot, less heat build up, and besides, an itchy trigger finger can be just as effective as full-auto. Less chance of hitting a civilian dumb-ass sticking their head up or running around... "A person is smart, people are dumb and unpredicable".

What stock is that on the MAC M-11?  does it require the aftermarket upper to use or will it fit like the flimsy stock one does?

oh, and full-auto if ya can afford it.

No, unfortunately, your not.

You cant legally buy/convert that lower.  You need a lower/drop in sear/lightning link that was registered pre- May 19th, 1986.  Starting prices are $10,000 +

1986 ban of manufacture of new machineguns. That's why 15K for a auto lower. Your plan is not legal.

While both have their advantages, you'll find few people that given the choice would limit themselves to SA, particularly the overwhelming majority of us on these boards that primarlily use these guns for pleasure. I just wish I had bought more than one of the FA's on the rack that I was offered in 1994.

Well looks like I was about to get into some F@#!*& up shit. LMT said they lowers were complete. And all you needed was a upper and a full auto bolt carrier oh and a class 3 dealer to purchase the lower from (paper work included).

They told you the truth.  Unfortunately, that only applies to LEO/MIL/C3 dealers...not the rest of us.  As stated above, legally transferable full-auto M16/AR15's (or DIAS/LL) start around $12k and the prices go up every year.

I would get a differant type of upper and that will bring the cost of your full auto under $1K.
