I'm sure this has been done to death but doing a 30 day search I didn't see much. Have the gas piston systems proven reliable?

Mine has been 100% reliable.  It stays cleaner than my DI guns -- especially with a suppressor.

Mine has been 100% reliable. No issues at all.
I have not fired my newest POF yet . I should get some range time in tomorrow.

I've only fired one POF upper, and that was on an M16.  It came in the day before a local MG shoot, and my friend installed it and headed right now.  He did have some problems with the bolt not fully going into battery.  I don't know what was the issue with it or what was done to correct it.  The shoot is coming up again in late October, so I'm sure I'll be seeing a lot more of it then.

Other than that one upper, I've never heard of a single problem with POF's.  I'd like to try one myself when funds permit.

Here's a pic of me having fun with his 9-1/2" POF on an M16 lower.
