All, Recently, I purchased a Bushmaster XM15 M4 (carry-handle top) at a local gun retailer. I have fired less than 100 rounds through it. After joining this site, I am now wishing that I purchased the flat-top. Last week, I read a post on this forum where Bushmaster exchanged uppers for a member. Is this possible? Is there a charge? How do I go about this? Should I give up and just order a replacement upper, or rather another AR-15? Ha! Thanks in advance! Regards, ~WC~ |

Guys, Thanks for the replies, however, I am allergic to cats and I believe I will hold out a little longer for more than $210. Ha! I want a flat-top so I can mount an Aimpoint Comp ML3. I contacted LaRue and they said that they do not have a mount for the Aimpoint for that application. Re, ~WC~ |

YOu can use a ARMS #39A2 gooseneck mount that will work w/ the Aimpoint, placing it out over the handguards, forward of the A2 handle. www.armsmounts.com/catalog.php?action=124&item_id=41 mike eta - it does add weight to the rifle, but works very well w/ the standard ARMS #22M68 mount (that holds the Aimpoint) |
Can you post the email? I too have a fixed carry handle on my Bushy and wouldn't find trading it for a flattop for $100. If you don't want to post the email, can you tell us the person you spoke with? |
