zip.4chan.org/k/src/1182712325739.jpg Looking for ARs with charing handles on the bolts like en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Grendel_Counter_Sniper.JPG Do they have uppers like this for .223? |

I'm gonna bet that first one is a toy, and shoots bb's or something. I've seen the charging handles here. www.whiteoakprecision.com/uppers-match.htm |
The Grendel side charging upper you linked to will work with .223. The handle is connected directly to the bolt, so it moves every time the rifle fires. It is a billet upper, custom made for this. In addition, there is a side charging upper that is/was sold by Ameetec, Spikes Tactical, and other companies. It has a charging handle on the left side. It is a billet upper. Medesha firearms was making them out of standard AR uppers and cutting a charging handle opening into the side of the receiver. And there are also the Oly Arms OA93 rifles and pistols that are side charging, and get rid of the buffer tube. I also vaguely recall seeing someone talk about making a side charging receiver that works with a FAL charging handle. If that was ever offered, I'd grab one. |
