I know I'm going to sound like a total nimrod here, but:

HOW DO YOU GET THESE THING ON?

They've got a ledge that prevents simply sliding them over the end of the rail.  They're also too stiff to snap directly over and into place.

You have to bend one side out and then finagle them on somehow and after bending the one side, they don;t fit that tight.

Set one edge in place (e.g. the top).

Put your thumbs on the panel over that edge and apply downward pressure.

Maintain pressure and slowly slide your thumbs across the panel (across its width, not down the long edge) until the panel snaps into place.

I was able to get them on by starting with one entire long edge in place, then hooking one short end over and squeezing all the way down lengthwise maintaining force on it the whole time.

What a PITA!

At least they now fit tightly.

Do you have the ladder style or rail covers?

What I do is put the bottom edge under the rail and then start on the other side of the rail cover from one end and bend back the top edge while applying pressure from bottom to top.

I recently got some and quickly found out that they are a freakin' bear to get on. I just went down in my basement, cursed loudly and repeatedly, and fanagled them on.

Mine are the regular, not the ladder style.  I used the same technique you describe.

I went with these instead of Tango Down's version with the catch because they look cleaner and should be more idiot-proof once installed.

Putting on the Magpul XT panels yesterday gave me blisters on my fingers and thumbs, LOL.  I'm trying Tango Down next time.

You guys sound like a bunch of girls.

I couldn't resist.

Been there done that with these rail covers.
