BM has a free float tube system that keeps the original appearance of the standard 20" AR. It's standard on the competition model ( I think the DVM or something) Any feedback on this? I like the look better then the other aluminum free float tubes you find on varmint guns. Thanks in advance? Lovesbeer99 |
These are available from a number of sources. They are the only free-float tube allowed in service rifle competition where the goal is to maintain the appearance of a stock M-16A2 (or A4). RRA makes one, but consider the specialty aftermarket such as Compass Lake Engineering, who say that their float tube is "Marine Proof." |
| A buddy of mine has one of these on his 20 inch a2 dcm bushy. ( came like this from the factory along with a two stage trigger and better rear sight ) He likes it because it preserves the original look but has the benifit of a free float tube. He also swears it blocks more of the heat from the barrel than his other std. rifle. I don't know about aftermarket ones but the one from bushy, or whoever really makes it, seems to work real good. |
