I just bought my first AR last week. I dont know alot about these guns yet, but I am learning. Mine is a Match Hbar serial number 25xxxx, so I believe it was made around 91-92. This gun came with a hard case, cheek rest, tasco scope, sling, 2-20round, and 2 30 round magazines. It appears this gun could be a delta hbar, or someone made it identical to one. Is there a way to figure out whether its a factory delta? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Marc

Congrats on the new rifle and welcome to the site.  Now, before all the sarcastic members show up (I'm one of them, but I'm feeling generous), you will want to refrer to the objects that hold the cartridges as "magazines."  "Clips" refers to a different piece of equipment.

welcome aboard.
By the way the usual procedure is to post pics and cover the serial number
Since nobody said it. it's Magazine not clip

First, welcome to the boards Marc.

Second, as Twonami says, don't display or disclose your complete serial # on the boards.

This is because it has been reported before where some J***A** attemps to report your serial number/make/model weapon to the police as their 'stolen' one...(Long story made short - It's Just Not A Good Idea)

Also, When you get a chance - Check out the guides and manuals/downloads section. It can help answer many of the questions you may have.

Welcome again.
