First, how well do PSP 55grners do in the AR platform. Since finding 55 FMJ heads is next to impossible I was wondering. Second, I have a Bushy M4 and would like to install the RRA 18" varminter upper . What else would I need eg. trigger, diffrent stock whatca think?

ok, 1st off, what are you trying to do?

the 55gr PSPs run fine...are you refering to its ballistics?

as to the RRA 18" varmint upper, you simply just switch it w/ the stock M4 bushy you have; if you are going to re-build your stock M4 into a varminter (w/ a different stock and trigger), why not just build another AR?

The 55gr PSP's run fine, but I find them to be a pain in the ass to load compared to FMJ's.

+1

I MUCH prefer the boat-tail when it comes to loading in volume.
I load so much 223 that I dedicated a Dilon 1050 to it.

My varmint rig has had no problems with soft points or hollow points.  If you are into handloading,  BTHPs are available and are easier for reloading.  I fyou are worried about penetration with HPs on the coyotes you might try Cor-Bon DPX loads, or load your own Barnes-X version.
