What happened to this system. Is it classified a machine gun?3 round burst kits?I saw one for sale, I want to know how it is treated. If I bought it it would be for me only not my Police work. I haven't read rules on this. Thanks David C. ![]() |
| The NFA classifies a machine gun as any weapon that fires more than one shot per pull of the trigger, so 3rd burst is classified as a machine gun. Its a moot point as this system really sucks & I can't fathom why any sane person would want it. It totally screws your semi trigger pull & is overcomplicated. I'm in my third decade of military service, so I've plenty of experence with the M16, M16A-1 & M16A-2. I replace the 3 rd burst in every M16A-2 I'm issued with M16A-1 parts. Not for the full-auto ability, but for the much more consistent & reliable semi pull. Its a pain in the ass, because every time the weapons are goimg to be inspected I have to put the 3 rd burst back in. M9 |

Okay. That's simply amazing! I've HEARD of "bump-firing," but I had no idea! Can you elaborate on how exactly that works? How does the rubber band make it fire so rapidly? How do you "work" the trigger to get that effect? Will that work on any and all semi's? I hope it's not against the COC. If it is . . . email me! Inquiring minds and all . . . ! Watching that again . . . I guess you need to keep the trigger depressed to kind of a "sweet spot"? Is that right? |

Okay. I checked out the rest of the site and answered my own questions. From the comments posted since I expressed my amazement, though - I guess this technique has gone out of style! Still . . . that's fascinating! (and worth a try!) *I don't think I'll be practicing that at my home range, though!
