I'm probably gonna get flamed for this one, but here I go.

What are the pro's and con's of long term storage using vacuum sealer bags with dessicant and a clean and lubed AR, with the whole thing stored in a gun case? I'm talking 5-10 year storage, with or without annual inspections. Gotta think of those future generations, ya know.
Thanks,
Brian

Coat that puppy in cosmoline and throw it in a pelican case with a dessicant can.

When then uncover your house in a archeological dig 1,000,000 years from now it will probably still be in useable condition.

I would definitly plan on at least bi-annual inspections. Leave nothing to chance.

I do want to build two M4's and store them until my children are old enough to learn to use a battle rifle. The temptation for me to take them out and use them will be great.
