I have a bare lower. I'm looking for a 20" kit. I know Model1Sales has them. How's the quality of the upper? Anyone else sell kits? I'm looking to build a AR15A4 to USMC M16A4 Specs (or maybe a standard A2, not 100% sure yet) I used the A2 when I was in the Corps, not the A4 Hardwarz |

I had an issue with a Model 1 Sales kit I bought well over a year ago. I approached them at the gunshow in Dallas last week and explained what was wrong, and made it clear that I wouldn't expect it to be a warranty issue due to the elapsed time since I bought it. Without asking any questions, the lady (whom I belive owns the company) told me to "Send it in, we'll take care of it!" and she was very pleasant about it. I am a certified AR-15 Armorer, so I took it upon myself to buy the part I needed to make the fix myself. But it was nice to hear that "We'll do you right" without hesitation. |

I have built 2 M1S kits (16" Disapator & 16" carbine). The uppers were flawless, the stocks were O.K. My only problems were pivot pin springs too long & the bolt catch bound-up on its roll pin. Minor stuff, but I'd just get the upper & use a Stag LPK in the future. And yes, EBRD demands I build another  ...maybe just an upper...hmmm...a 24" .204 Ruger should do nicely...YMMV The Ol' Crew Chief |
