On their site they say they supply all branches of the service. With what, parts? I thought only Colt and FN currently supply complete M16s and M4s. Thanks.... |

Colt and FN are the primary contactors for the M4 and M16 for regular units. The military has the ability to purchase items outside the normal supply chain when needed. Alot of these purchases are in somewhat limited quanitites some of it eventually makes it into the supply systems in mass alot of it doesn't. The M16 is the product of the Air Force Commanding General wanting a small light rifle for his security forces to protect airbases. No initial formal testing or supply system for it, just one man with 4 stars and look at us now. |
