I’m partial to MI’s products. When I begin my SPR build I’m going to seriously look into their FF rails. I currently own the MI17’s and couldn’t be happier.

The nicest FF rails I've ever seen are made by Larue Tactical.  But, unless you know what you are doing, a gunsmith would have to install them.  I have one on one of my AR's and it is fantastically solid and dead sexy.  Another good option is the MRF series by Troy.  They replace the delta ring assembly area and give you a "monolithic-style" platform across the top of the rifle.  This allows more freedom for mounting options.  I have one of these on another rifle and it, too, is very solid and sexy.  Prices for either will run you around $250-$275.

I have a samson FF on mine.  I jsut got it and I like it alot.  it's a 2 piece so you don't need any special tools to install it, just a dremel to cut off the delta ring.  I like the LaRue ones, but I wanted a monlithic look where the upper rail met up with the handguard rail.  MI makes good products too.  I never had their FF handguards, but I did have a 2-piece snap in version for a carbine and it was real nice.

I think if your doing a precision build and want to squeeze every bit of accuracy you can get out of your weapon, then yes FF would matter. On my M4gery though I think FF would be an overkill. The standard MI 17's works just fine.
