I'm kind of new to AR's and this sight so this might be a stupid question. I just bought a Stag Arms Model 4 with a A2 stock I shot about 150 rds threw it and decided I wanted a collapsible stock. I got a AR-Stoner 6 position collapsible assembly from Midway today and installed it today and after the first shot I got a FTF. When I split it the buffer spring came shooting out and I saw the buffer retainer's tip had broken off. My question is it just a faulty part or did I install the new stock and buffer assembly wrong and if I did can some one tell me what I might have done wrong?
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

More than likely it was just your buffer detents time to go. Simply removing and replacing a stock should not damage a buffer detent causing it to fail.
