I've read the maryland zeroing section and am wondering what the concensious is. For a 300 meter range the Army/Marine zeroing method seems to be the best. In the real world 100% of my shooting will be 100 yards or less, so I am going to give the IBSZ a try (50 yards) that is supposed to give a 50/200 yard zero with a respectable performance from 8-220 yards(<2" from point of aim). Setting the sights to 25/300 meters seems to give a very high impact in the 100 yard range. Has anyone used the IBSZ (improved battle sight zero) technique? |

I also use the Santos IBZ. Works great for all ranges that I am likely to encounter in the civilian world. For greater ranges, just dial in the wheel - however I doubt I will be engaging meaningful targets at greater than 200 with a 14.5 inch barrel. Are you seeing the very high impact when flip to larger aperture and rotate the wheel? |
