| I have the opportunity to buy a Colt MT 6400 at a good price. Does anybody out there own one? Or shot one? I would like pro's or cons on the rifle? Thanks |

Here is an older pic of my MT6400c...i've lost the huge scope and the cheap laser since then and added an aimpoint. And lots of new (pre-ban) 30 round mags. Accuracy is excellent. Reliability is perfect. The big compensator really reduces recoil and is great for the shooter, but it really sends a huge shockwave to anyone near you. And yeah, if you are in a ban state and you don't like the long M4 stock, you can switch it out for a fixed position short M4 stock, or i've hear of people pinning an adjustable one to the length they like. Got mine new for $1000 about 3 years ago. What are they asking for it if you don't mind me asking? But it's a great rifle. I say go for it.

Mine was my first AR...well it was a 6700C...still have it. Granted I've modded it quite heavily but it's served me well. I got mine NIB for $800. The main thing I did..and the first was swap the barrel from a 16" non threaded HBAR to a Colt 14.5" w/ perm attached 5C2 BTW Mine had a 1/9 twist but did have the M4 ramps but no chrome lining and no evil features.... Then.... ![]() Now....and still a work in progress (painting isn't done yet)

one good thing about the Mt6400 is they left the extra legnth on the barrel so it can be threaded and still have the same legnth as the standard 6920. The pins are just forawrd of where the shoulder is located on the 16" threaded barrel. I have a SOCOM M4A1 type heavy barrel on mine, with the collapseable stock, and it is the $h!t at the range. Everybody asks where they can get the receivers marked 'M4 Carbine' ....Just smile and wink |
