My KISS rifle is a Bushmaster 11.5”/5.5” Carbine. I recently purchased a Model 1 four-position carbine stock assembly for it for around $42 (via MidwayUSA). I am not exceptionally happy with the quality and the fit of the stock. I see that Bushmaster sells a four-position stock assembly for around $106. Can I expect that the quality and fit of the stock from Bushmaster will be better? Or is it just a case of Bushmaster being more expensive than Model 1? Bottom line, are all of the four-position stocks pretty much the same, or are some better made than others? |

why werent you satisfied w/ the M1S stock? FWIW: not all stocks are created equal; there are those created w/ mil-spec stds and those w/ commercial stds moreover, there are those chicom knock offs i paid $45 for my RRA 4 pos stock from bravocompanyusa and it was great; i since went w/ a mil-spec tube and a colt body for a total of $65 imo: get the milspec ones (LMT, colt, etc) |
Thanks Pointman! I ordered one of Essential's Textured Aluminum stocks today. I'll let you know how it works out. |
I received my 4-position stock from Essential today. The fit and finish is excellent. Service was great. I highly recommend both Essential Arms and there aluminum stock! |
