My KISS rifle is a Bushmaster 11.5”/5.5” Carbine. I recently purchased a Model 1 four-position carbine stock assembly for it for around $42 (via MidwayUSA). I am not exceptionally happy with the quality and the fit of the stock. I see that Bushmaster sells a four-position stock assembly for around $106. Can I expect that the quality and fit of the stock from Bushmaster will be better? Or is it just a case of Bushmaster being more expensive than Model 1?

Bottom line, are all of the four-position stocks pretty much the same, or are some better made than others?

the model 1 4 positions are junk. A friend had one, and while it looked similar to an old colt 4 pos. I had, it was no where near the quality. All stocks are not created equal.

why werent you satisfied w/ the M1S stock?

FWIW: not all stocks are created equal; there are those created w/ mil-spec stds and those w/ commercial stds
moreover, there are those chicom knock offs

i paid $45 for my RRA 4 pos stock from bravocompanyusa and it was great; i since went w/ a mil-spec tube and a colt body for a total of $65

imo: get the milspec ones (LMT, colt, etc)

I paid 39.99 for a used Colt 4-pos and I couldn't be happier.

Quality varies, it‘s a crap shoot. I bought a cheaply priced ($30) 4 pos stock and it’s by far the tightest stock I own. But, yes, ordering from a reputable dealer your chances are greater that you’ll get the quality your looking for.

Essential Arms makes a great 4 pos CAR stock, it has an aluminum stock body as well.

I received my 4-position stock from Essential today. The fit and finish is excellent. Service was great. I highly recommend both Essential Arms and there aluminum stock!

i bought a 4 pos stock from AIM for 30 bucks and so far it is fine, tight, no rattles and comfortable..
