I had my DPMS .22 bull and my R22 done.  Their scary accurate .  Last barrel in 556 done was a DTI "del-tone" Wilson setup.  Its lasted 15,000 rds before I really started to see the groups open up.  I've got a WOA 20' coming that I might send to get cyro'ed as well.  I never really thought it would make that much of a difference but after replacing the barrel on my .22's with the cryo'ed ones you can differently see the difference.  For a plunker its not worth it but if you going for long range shots it seems to help and extends the accurate life of the barrel.

I did one on my Rem 700 VS SF Sendaro 7mm STW. Couldn't tell much inside of 100yds because It could shoot dimes already with handloads. Could really tell the difference at 500-600yds. Saw much more red mist of Prairie Dogs on a consistant basis at those distances. So yeah I think it helped. Not to mention it's supposed to help strengthen stainless steel which is a plus in that high velocity hawg that I shoot (168g at 3600fps, 140g about 3800, 120g about 4200). For the $60 I spent on it a few years back has been worth it. Don't know if I would do it for and AR though unless your shooting through stainless, (Heavy Barrel, Bull Barrel) in either a .204, wildcats, Or .260+ and or SAUM calibers.

Ths is probably a dumb question, but does cryogenic tempering simply mean exposing the barrel (or other metal parts) to extreme cold ... or is there more to the process than that? I googled the term and couldn't come up with any definitive info.

Thanks - Corey
