Well, from what I hear and read on this site, I have the bug. The Evil Black Rifle disease...And I got it pretty bad. Already in this to the tune of: UTG Forward Handrails Aimpoint Comp M3 (on the way); cantilever mount, etc Tac Force Carry Bag Tac Force Nylon Tactical Vest 2 Ammo Cans 1,000 Rounds (a bunch of Federal 55 grain and some IMI 62 grain) 10 Mags And I'm thinking hard about an Aimpoint 3x Magnifier. Geeze! Does this ever stop??? I feel like a kid in the candy store.... Thoughts on how to collect all the fuun stuff and not go broke??? Second job? Third? Nice setup. No the madness never stops... I built one, then a second.... now a third. Sold to the first to a friend, so back down to 2. I just told the wife I wanted a couple more, she said, well go buy them...  That's the ticket to have 2 more lowers setup by next week |

Heh. Nice lookin' (first) AR there Stixx. Heroin was first synthesized in the late 19th century by the A.G. Bayer company as a potential cure for morphine addiction. Well, when I realized that my desire for another SKS was not something I could easily explain to my yet to be armed friends and acquaintance, I thought a change to a more modern and accurate platform might sate the beast within, and I bought a Colt 6520. All good and well. As I tackled refinishing the SKS and tweaking it as I learned a little, the Colt was the one getting the range time. It occurred to me that I might improve on it a bit, so I put in a Jard 2# trigger. Much better! And, working on the guns becomes much less of a strange black art the more you're willing to try. Looking out this morning I saw that sometime yesterday the FedEx guy left my Stag lower receiver kit and Magpul stock at the backdoor. Good! I'm ready whenever the stripped lower and upper arrive. Perhaps the Beowulf will get here first(?). All this waiting..., hell, I went and got another SKS anyway. |
