I have a 14.5" CMMG barrel in an M16 slickside upper. It ran fine for a while, but the past 2 times I took it to the range it would not seat rounds fully or fail to strip rounds off of the magazine. The rounds would get caught about half way up the feed ramps on the barrel. There's nice copper marks on the feed ramps from where the bullets are hitting. Would polishing the feed ramps help? It seems like there's some grooves left from machining on there....

Could be a regular  type barrel extension on an M4 cut upper..do the ramps on the lugged barrel extension.left and right match up with the ramps if any on the upper. If no ramps on the upper could be just polishing the ramps will help.

It's an M16 slickside, so no ramps on the receiver. The finish is starting to come off under where the feedramps on the barrel are.
