I purchased a used Troy front sight. The sight did not come with the adjustment tool, what can I use to adjust the front sight? If memory serves me right it looks like an AK type post. Will an AK sight tool work? Thanks, Eric |
Who are you talking to? I've always had great customer service with Troy. The only time I had a long wait for something is when something wasn't in stock. |

my Troy front sight tool is a Tapco AK47 front sight tool (it even says Tapco on it) AK47/SKS Front Sight Tool $4.99 |
Correct! It was nice of Troy to start including the adjustment tool, but - IT IS NOT NEEDED! Pick up a piece of spent 5.56 brass and pinch the end of it with some pliers. That is all you need. Field expedient! Mark |
| I cant remember who I have spoken to and emailed with. I called again today and they couldnt find any record of my contacts with them. Everytime I spoke before they said they would send one for free, this time they wanted 5 bucks plus shipping for it. Im not cheap but I have ordered lots of stuff from them and wont be any longer. |

I called up Troy and ordered a front sight post tool...woman said it would be about $5 over the phone. 4 days later a post for $130 to my account is added for a NEW FRONT SIGHT and front sight tool. I love Troy, their gear is nothing short of awesome. But the dingbat woman in customer service taking orders needs a kick in the teeth after I clearly asked her to be absolutely sure I was only getting the TOOL. Needless to say i just sold the sight for $105 and accepted it as a loss rather than ship it back to them and 'lose' my returned merchandise and 'forget' to give me my money back on top of that. Watch your ass dealing with them... |
