Hey guys...just ordered my RRA lower and was informed it was going to be 4 MONTHS till it got here...Are all lowers from different mfg's about the same? which are better than others and which ones should I avoid all together...it will be for a 6.5 Grendel...

My first thought after finding out about the 4 month wait was just to get the whole package from AA...your thoughts on the subject would be appreciated

for the most part there is not really a difference, (except colt's dumbass fire control group pin if im not mistaken... im sure someone will be along shortly). im thinking everybody freaked out about h1022, and went on a oh were scared buy spree< if you cant tell i think that it has been blown way out of proportion. Some other dealers might have some lowers in stock, im assuming your trying to go straight through with Rock River

They are all pretty much the same. Get what you can find in stock with a rollmark that you like

Check with Bushmaster, their website does not show them out of stock.

JKiser has Stag lowers in stock on the Equipment  Exchange.

Stag is CMT's house brand and CMT makes Rock River's lowers.

They're all the same so long as all the holes are there and they line up.  Colt is the only pain in the ass.

That said, find out what critter you want on the side and go from there.

DPMS and Double Star are some good brands for stripped lowers that are cheap.  Check out RB Precision as he usually has Superiors for super cheap.

dont look at brands, judge the lower on its own.  I got a DPMS lower from a pawn shop (3 actually)  put cmt parts kit, and you know what it works!  can you belive it.  and it doesnt even have a pony on it or anything.  Anyways man its about what you put in the lower not necessarly who made it.  Look for forge marks, finish, jacked up pin holes, whatever.  If it looks good get it and enjoy.

I think I will call RRA and see if I can get a stripped lower and kit and put it together myself...need to learn how to take it apart anyhow...should be a good learning experience...

All I need is the stripped lower, a parts kit, and stock correct? With the Magpul PRS stock does it have any internal "guts" that I have to buy seperate?
