Is $350 a good price on a new complete Lewis flat-top upper minus the BCG?  It has a  Wilson 16" barrel chrome lined.

That price seem very low and +1 what everyone said LMT doesn't use Wilson barrels they use Rock Creek barrel blanks.

If it's a real LMT barrel it should be marked "MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 CB" on top of the barrel in front of the FSB and usually (but not always) have a letter "L" stamp at the rear face of the barrel extension if you look at the chamber area.

I got my LMT 16" upper from the Equipment Exchange on sale for around $420 with free LMT single layer heat shield M4 handguards, CH and free shipping about more than a year ago.

I wish LMT would put there logo on the Barrel theres room ?

I HATED paying almost 40bucks for my LMT handguards wich I replaced with KAC RAS
Order Direct from LMT you dont want to know the price after 24hr shiping

But I did swap them with the Handguards that came with my second  LMT M4 upper That came from BravoCompay

I think Bravo used Cav M4 HG wich to me look better and cost alot less ?

There's plenty of room in both 16" and 14.5" barrels if LMT wants to either add a letter L or their logo there, but for now there's only a letter L stamp at the barrel extension.

Darn, you got taken by the factory on your LMT handguards.

Since I also replaced my factory handguards with the same KAC M4 RAS like you did, I'm going to use my LMT handguards for my boys AR project I'll be doing next time.

How about upgrading your other LMT upper with a LaRue free float rails.

I'm not responsible for what my LMT pictures do to you guys, it's BRD.

As you well know after getting a LMT doesn't end there, we AR guys have to have the good stuff on our carbines, that's more $$$.

I'm still working on my SPR project but I don't want to spend a lot of money on a LMT MRP upper, I'm building my own upper but I'll just use another new LMT lower on it.

It was my Bday too last month and I picked up a new Surefire M951C weaponlight for my LMT, photos here at the light picture thread.

An advanced Happy Bday to you and I hope you get what you want, enjoy.

Back on topic (sorry), to the original poster:

There are some sellers that will stretch the truth and would state that what they're selling are genuine LMT but they're not, beware of those shady sellers/ dealers.

There's even a member here that said he have a LMT with a stainless M4 profile barrel, but there's no such factory SS barrel that I know of, it must be his own custom barrel.

The safest way to do it is to get it from an AR15.com LMT dealer at the Equipment Exchange, sometimes you'll have to wait for a good timing when there are a lot of overstocked uppers and get a good price discount.

Good luck.
