Hi! I just got my Bushmaster m4gery( I think ) AND WAS WONDERING ABOUT THE DESIGNATION  XM15-E2S. What does this mean as opposed to a XM15 model. I think it is a 14.5 IZZY. Is this bbl chrome lined?

THANKS FOR GIVING ME BRD!

XM-15E2S is the standard marking on all Bushmaster lower receivers. All Bushmaster barrels are crome lined except for SS, and DCM barrels.
Now shoot the crap out of it. Mine has never let me down.
I put a CMMG 14.7" w/ an A2 birdcage and have an extra 16" Bushmaster barrel that will be cut down soon to the same specs. Welcome to the addiction.

What good does this link do? It's not even his rifle.

I have the same rifle, M4 wtih Izzy suppressor. It's a great rifle and I've only had problems when I shot Wolf. The barrel is chrome lined so go shoot a few hundred rounds to get it nice and shiny. The XM15-E2S is kind of like the name of the series of rifles by Bushmaster.

I thought the E and S in E2S stood for Eugene Stoner.. I guess I'm wrong?

Thanks for the reply guys! I got it from a fellow Police Officer who was needing money and had too many "toys" his word. I am planning on shooting it to sight it next Mon-tue-Wed ( my weekend) and want to get the Wolf M-193, the Privi Partisan loads as I was shooting these on the range and it short stroked my FNMC 20in upper but ate it up in that carbine! Right now the S&B and Q3131 will be used to sight it and duty carry.

New production polymer wolf = Gooood.

Old production laquer coated = Bad bad bad.
(In addition to the "Mil-spec" Wolf)

I had short stroke problems in the 20in DPMS upper with 62 grn. Wolf Poly, 55gn. was fine. I havent tried it in the FNMC upper yet.

Zero at 50 yds, what would be the practical downrange zero for M-193 spec ammo?

I've heard BMs go through Wolf pretty well too, BM even states that it's safe to shoot wolf through their rifles. However, I've had a few problems. My rifle got really dirty and the sealant from Wolf got really sticky in my rifle. I've had jams and cases get stuck in the chamber. My worst situation was when my BCG got stuck in the upper receiver. Maybe I didn't clean my rifle well enough but I'm not shooting any more Wolf.

Zero at 50yds should put you on again around 250 yds with 55 gr. ammo.
and for 855 62 gr. and 75 gr. TAP, Molon was kind enough to provide this to my question on the subject about my M4 in another thread last week.
