I realize these have been discussed before, but I just have to say how amazing it is. A friend of mine asked me for some advice on what goodies to get for a rifle he was putting together for 3gunning so I suggested that for the comp, he use the Quiet Comp, based on all the positive reviews. We are both glad for my suggestion. He brought it to the range this weekend to show me his completed toy, and it blew me away. With a rifle length gas system, there is zero muzzle flip. Using a bipod, we were ringing a 4in reactive plate at 100yds, quickly too. We would take subsequent shots as soon as the plate came back up, so I'd say roughly one shot per second. You could do it until the mag went dry. For close work it was even more amazing. We were doing double and triple taps as fast as we could and were getting groups less than 1.5" at 15-20yds. As I've said, I know this has been discussed, and I'm sure in more capable hands this break is even more impressive, but I just had to share my elation at how impressive this break is. Oh yeah, the rifle has a factory Colt trigger. It has a decent break, but it's by no means as light or crisp as a nice two stage. The barrel is also a Colt A2 barrel; quality, but not in league with something from Noveske or some of the other uber-tactical-sniper-ninja-match grade barrels. I just kept saying "WOW" the whole time at the range. |
