Thanks in advance.

I have what I consider a nice SP-1 and have been shooting quite a bit, problem is I shoot left handed.

I need to get my nose down on the charging handle but when I do I get a face full of brass.

It's usually not as bad as that, but after getting several bouncing off your cheek it ruins the experiance.

Would an SP-2 with shell deflector cure my problem or do I need a left handed upper? And if I need the lefty who makes them (I thought I read that stag makes one)

thanks for the help I love my AR but it's a matter of time before I get one in the eye

A brass deflector will cure the problem, but if you want a left handed rifle the Stag will work great.

Please wear eye protection when shooting, it does not look good for gun owners when somebody loses an eye.

No matter which hand you're shooting from you should always use eye protection.
If you get a kaboom and that thing blows pieces of aluminum into your eye you'll realize that there are bigger problems than brass hitting you.

I'm a lefty.

We had a plastic brass deflector that snapped in to the gap between the carry handle and the receiver when I was issued an A1.

I wouldn't personally get a left handed upper since I've trained with and used the regular upper for over 22 years.

It's weird for me just to get used to using the ambi safety selector I installed on my first build, because I'm so conditioned to putting my thumb over on the other side.

Upper with a brass deflector will be just fine for a lefty.

Just my $.02

Good news,

I will look for the clip on deal. Does anybody know where a nice one could be located?
