| Which side do you mount your light and why? I am a right handed shooter but it just seems easier to operate the light when it is on the same side of the weapon as I am. I was just wondering if maybe most people didn't mount it on the same side they are shooting from for a reason. |
| I thought about going with the DD mount but got the Vltor instead. The only thing I don't like about the light being on the same side as me is I am afraid it could hinder my view in certain situations............not like Im going to get into those situations but you know what I mean. |
| I liked underside, but a X3-ha underneath is too long for a 14.5 with 12.0 rail. when pushed forward enuff so my hand won't hit it using the VFG the lens is protruding under the flash hider , so now it sits middle of the rail on the right side "yes it's pain in the nuts to store like this and clean but it's better than blowing the lens off with muzzle blast" |
|
I mount on the left side of the rail. I use a vertical grip and activate the light via the tail cap with my left hand thumb. I also feel that having the light on the side allows me to rest my handguard over a barrier and still have the light shine out without being obscured. Having the light on the left side also shields my figure with a bright light by centering the light more in front of my body. |
