welcome

There are cheaper prices for beta, I got lucky and found one on the EE for under 200, but new betas can be had for well under 250 if you shop around. click here to check it out

V-Rod,

Thanks I don't have a AR yet but I am looking for things to go with it when I order it, and 100 rounds of ammo although heavy would be a nice way to chew up some money

Wait on the beta and buy some 20 round straight mags from 44MAG also if you want to waste ammo, don't buy an AR. 30c round adds up quick.

I would skip the beta-c's and get a bunch of USGI 20's and 30's.

Get a bunch of 30rounders first..
After you have atleast 30 30rounders get a Beta they kick ASS!!!
But not practical if you only have 2 or 3 regular mags..

Beta does require the use of dry lube often. If not you will have feeding issues. I feed mine every 3rd stage, no a problem yet. Not much just a shot on steel feeders.

I think every AR person should have at LEAST two Beta C Mags, that's one of the first things the Dems will go after in 09, expecially if Hiliary is in there.  You can also keep them fully loaded and stored with no ill effects.

They have learned not to go after the guns, they will starts with the mags and components, if it doesn't have food it's just a poor club.

Trust me, that mistake wont happen twice. Any future AWB proposals will/do include EVERY type of EBR-type gun you can think of.

I have two Beta's.

I use one, it is great. I enjoy sitting at a bench and not reloading when I punch paper.

Get them here on the EE a good price on a good newer one is 185-199.00 Any thing more...shop the SGN.

I don't use mine much.  I can't see it being used on a semi-auto, it's heavy and makes the rifle ungainly.  I use mine for full auto and even then, I don't do to many full mag dumps, (unless I am shooting through your upper ).  They are mostly a novelty.  Unless you like huge full auto mag dumps, stick with 30's.  There is a reliable british 40rd straight mag out there as well.

Thanks everyone, I think I will get my AR first and try some 30 rounders then decide

They are great for prairie dog shooting you can keep your eyes on the prize for 100 rounds and not have to worry about reloading and losing the target.

If you can afford it, get it. Take too much time and you may not be able to afford it or get it.

I ve got one and love it. Was it worth the money? No. was it worth it in the long run? Yes. If you want it, buy it! Its fun to have around.

I have two of them, what do you want to know.

100 rounds takes under 7 seconds on my M4. They work great. A bit heavy to walk around with it hanging off your weapon though.

every single AR owner should have one; ether to use or to keep in the closet to piss of a libtard.

i would buy one now while you can. 20rd and 30rd mags should still be some what easy to come by if for some reason we get another ban. i seen beta mags selling localy for $600 during the ban. so i would say get one now while you can.
