I want to use my AR15 for night varmint hunting.  I have about 3k to spend.  Am I better off getting a night vision goggle to wear over my eyes?  And if I do this can I look through a scope at all?  Or, am I better off getting an actual weapons mounted night vision scope?  Thanks for the input.

I have over $7k invested in NV equipment and I get more good out of my surefire.

Something to think about.

Thanks guys,

I will check with the optics forum.  Sorry about that!  But with that said, I have a Pentagon light mounted with a LaRue offset mount.  But I WANT to see in the dark!
