I just received a 6 position CAR stock today, my question is, it came with two springs, was this a mistake, or am I supposed to install both springs?

Thanks for the info.

Use only one spring at a time.

This is one of the cheap import kits and one way to cut costs is to use cheap springs. When the spring you use gets a good bit shorter than the other one change out the springs.

+1 Only use one action spring.

Carbine spring free length = MIN 10 1/16" (25.56 cm) MAX 11.25 (28.58 cm)

Note:

Replace action spring if kinked, worn or below MIN free length requirement.

Do not attempt to adjust spring length.
