What is the difference between the accessory compartments & cheekweld adapters? Is it just the ability to store items? Thanks |
|
the adapters make it like a regular collapsible stock and the battery compartments give it the extended cheek weld along with battery storage eta: I highly reccomend the Vltor, I used to have a regular stock then went with the CAA saddle for it and right after that I had to have a Vltor and it was one of the best improvements I have made to my AR |
The flat cheekweld adapters are used if the shooter are wearing a gas mask, face shield (riot police), etc. The nice feature of the Vltor is it's modular design that you could change from compartments to flat adapters as required, you can't do that with other brands with fixed accessory compartments. Both my two carbines have Vltor Modstocks and would highly recommend them. |

I guess I could have worded it a little better, cause I know what the differences in physical appearances are. I guess I was wanting to know if one is better (has better advantages) than the other or if it is just personal preference. WMHM4 pretty much summed it up in the first line of his reply. But if anyone else has something more to ad, please do. Thanks |

If you're just going to get one type of adapter get the one with the battery compartments, better cheek weld plus lots of storage space. They also make two lengths of battery compartments, a short one and a long one, I prefer the longer type because of more storage. |
