Hello, Newbie here - I'm interested in purhcasing an AR-15 or two & am confused about all the civilian makes and models. Is there a "Real McCoy" out of the bunch? From what I've read, it looks like Colt is, but then manufacturers such as Olumpic Arms claim to be "the only true manufacturer of AR15 rifles" on their website. If my assumption that Colt is the original is correct, then which civilian model? What is the difference between the Colt "MT6601 Match Target HBAR" and the "MT6700 Match Target Competition HBAR," etc. The only thing I know for sure is that these are silly Newbie questions but hopefully someone will have the patience to shed a little light on this for me. I want to get moving on my purchases before the lefty schmucks here in Illinois get any bright ideas. Thanks in advance! |
