does anyone know the bolt size that is in the carrier key

size and thread pitch ?

Not positive but they may be 8-32 1/4" long. Not sure what grade for strength they are.

8-32x1/4" is correct.
Grade 8 or higher, but almost any socket head cap screw is going to be grade 8 or higher.
