I just want to say that while this is my first post I have been around here for a while now, and I have found this board very helpful. Thanks. Now I purchased a New Les Baer Super Varminter and after the first couple of boxes I found the front gas block leaking pretty bad. There's significant residue left under the barrel infront of the gas block, I have checked all 3 of the set screws and they are all tight. Now my question is do I sent it back to Les Baer to have it fixed or do I let the Shop that sold it to me do the repair as they have offered to do for free. Thanks for your time. Josh |
Contact Les Baer and find out of letting the local shop repair it will void the warranty. If not, then let the locals do it. This will do several things to your benefit: *You will know if they are qualified gunsmiths. This may come in handy in the future. *You will find out if they produce quality work. Again, for the future. *You will save yourslef the expense of shipping the rifle. * You will spare yourself from the anxiety associated with having a firearm in transit where you have zero control over it and almost zero recourse if something goes wrong. |
+1 Make sure to contact them and get there full opinion. |
Here is what I recieved from Les Baer arms. |
