Is there someone where that I can follow steps on how to remove the stock Bushmaster hand rail on my M4? I tried searching the forums but could not find anything. Is this something very basic anyone can do or recommended not to do yourself?

If you are referring to the plastic hand guards....pull back on the delta ring and pull them out. A 3rd hand helps if you don't have the handguard removal tool.

A helper is a big benefit when removing the stock handguards.

Just pull the delta ring back and the plastic handguards will separate and come right off.  Separate from the back first and they'll slide right out.  If you haven't moved the delta ring much (sounds like you haven't) it will be very tight.  You can use the padded end of a pair of channel locks to help grab onto the ring.

Remove magazine.
Lock bolt back and check that the chamber is clear.
Set / stand rifle on the floor / table on its butt.
(Keep flathead screwdriver within reach.)
Pull / push down delta ring as far as you can.
(The end of the plastic guard should be able to clear the delta ring for you to lift out.)
(If it is tight, pry out with flathead screw driver.)
(If the delta ring is itself tight, try "pulling it down" on one side first. Jam the flat head screw driver on the end of the HG and slowly pry it out.)

Caveat: Poster is not responsible for any marring on the HG or delta ring that may occur! So be careful!
