Just purchased a 6.8 upper and slapped it on to my DPMS lower w/ a 6 pos. collapsible stock. Do I need to change out the buffer spring prior to firing this weapon or will the standard buffer system suffice?

You can if you want to but it is not something you have to do.  Just see how it shoots first and if there are any problems, then you may want to try the H-Buffer.  I have one that I use the H-Buffer on, but several companies like Bushmaster use the regular buffer on theirs.

The standard system is what it takes - That's idea behind the 6.8 SPC - Have fun and go bang, bang.

Agreed.

H-Buffer is the only change to the lower. The stock Bushmaster buffer is in the parts box. You'll love that cartridge.
