I see that SAW has three different Colt A2 Buttstock kits at $95, $125, and $195.  The $95 one says extruded.  The other two are forged, and the $195 one says "M16A2 design &..." The rest of the description is cut off. I thought that all Colt buffer tubes were forged according to mil-spec.?  Aren't they all M16A2 design?  What would account for the rather large price differences?

If they are used, the condition might affect price.

Maybe the cheap ones aren't really Colt?

I didn't think about that...I assumed all their parts were new.  But a used A2 stock for $125? Can't be!  I e-mailed them, but haven't received an answer yet.  Thought someone here might know.

For anyone interested here is the reply from SAW...

"We no longer have the SA07019 kits.  This was the short A2 stock (also called the Canadian stock) – it was the length of an A1 stock but looks identical to a current A2.  The SA07016 is the current Colt military A2 stock."
