Hey everyone, Just registered and wanted to say hi. This board is an overwhelming source of information. I just bought a lower and am waiting the 10 days to get it registered. I'm out in Cali, so it has the fixed 10 round mag. I'm jealous of you guys in other states that have the higher capacity mags! Anyway, I'm really new to the AR, so I'm taking my time to try to build it right the first time. Dave |

Hey Dave, Welcome to ARFCOM, where the fun never stops. Did you get a FAB10 or perhaps the Vulcan lower with pinned magwell? It's a drag living in California while being an AR lover. But you manage, I lived there for 25 years so I know. The good thing is, you can still modify everything else. Save some money and get yourself a nice quality upper. |

I picked up a CMMG lower. I forgot what my friend got. Bought it off a guy on another site. He might be on here too. Originally, I just went w/ my friend to check it out. The guy was selling several lowers. He put one together in front of me and I just had to get a lower also. Getting an AR is on my to do list, but some of my other hobbies are just too expensive. The nice thing is that once it's registered, I can build it up later. Looking at the 44 page thread w/ all the pics definitely makes it hard to decide what route to go. LOL. |
