What does this marking mean on an upper recvr.? (please don't critique my art too bad - I think its close enough for someone to see what I'm trying to sketch. Does this ID a maker, or a forging co. - etc.? Thanks in advance.

Just to confirm - I've been serching the wen looking for an example of this splintered A and cant find one. I dug out recvr. and it really doesn't look as much like an A as my sketch, but more like an H with a teardrop above and center.... Did you know this - I mean were you compensating for my drawing, or is there another marking this could be? - doesn't matter to me either way - I trade and peddle all the time - and personally an Oly for the plinker that most people swap and trade for is irrelevant. - heck I may even paint it pink and give it to the girly friend for christmas -- you know, getting them a set of store bought sweater puppies is liek buying them an AR or a john boat! ---------- You get more use out of 'em then she does! So what about the upper - It's forged for sure - not cast. |
Roger. The Bigger Hammer note that the mark is for Olys is totally off the wall. IGNORE IT! Anchor Harvey, as noted above puts out forgings for every maker in the field; including Diemaco in Canada. |
