I bought a bunch of Orlite magazines back in 1989 when I lived in CA.  I don't use them and honestly don't really trust them.  Do they have any value?  Can I sell these to a person in another state as a "pre-ban" magazine?  They have date stamps in the plastic and they are all from the early to mid 1980's.  Condition is what I would call "good" to "very good".  Some have some wear around the feed lips and some are scuffed.  None have been used heavily.

I'd appreciate any feedback on these.  I'll list them in the EE if they are worth anything.

I bought orlites from CTD a couple months ago for 6.95 each, I don't know about the whole "pre-ban" issue for California or other states like that...

Good luck...

Personally, I don't like them - I've seen too many cracked feed lips (and other parts) to ever trust them.

However, people will definitely buy them.  I had about five that I unloaded on ebay a few years back, and people bought all of them and were happy to do so.

Funney thing is that everyone bashes the orilites. I got some back in the 1980's and just on a lark I did a test to see how well they would hold up. No cleaning and no lubeing. I also would stand (165lbs) on them to show pople that they would not bend. And that mag is still going strong after at lest 5-6k rounds. And being loded and kick around a lot that would wreck all but my HK mag's? Same with my Galil 35rd orilites.

From my experience they are junk and not really worth anything. I tried several years ago and almost all eneded up cracking near the feed lips. The ones that didn't I passed on to someone else.

As others have said in the past, there is a reason the Israelis gave up on them and went back to the standard USGI mag.
