I've had a Wilson Combat CQB .45 for a few years now, and I really love it. Very reliable, very accurate, in every way the perfect service pistol. I was wondering, since I don't see much of them around arfcom, if anyone has one of their ARs. I'm giving some serious consideration to getting one, so any information would be really helpful. Thanks.

they seem to be good ARs, but over priced.

they are up there with (all teir one in my book): bushy, colt, RRA, armalite, CMMG, CMT/stag, FN, and RRA.

I saw the tactic-cool Wilson Combat model AR on the cover of Cosmotactical magazine.

Very true. Thankfully though, my friendly neighborhood FFL is run by good people. A brand new UT-15 from them costs $1400, MSRP is $1600. Factor in the sheer number of non-ARs either I or my family has purchased from them in the past, they would probably reduce the price a bit more, or throw something in on the side. I know they did with my father's the M1A National Match.

You are basicly paying the extra couple hundred dollars for the perfect cosmetics with the Wilson. Or, at least that's what the popular opinion is.

Think of it this way:  Producing a great custom 1911 is just as much an art as a science.  Putting together a great AR isn't much more than legos if you use good components.  I would be willing to pay for a Wilson 1911 if I wanted one, but I think they are pricing their ARs waaaaay to high, banking on their custom abilities with 1911s.
