I'd like to see pics and hear opinions about these. I'm assuming it was a modification to make it easier to charge a flattop when loaded down with optics. Any other reason for it? Any good? Accuracy change?

Ameetec Arms makes their Own Side Charging Upper. The Charging handle is on the left side. Now some companies will modify your upper to be charged from the right side.

Side Charging will allow you to keep your cheekweld.

So what suits you best?

Left Hand Charging and keeping your Ejection port cover?

or....

Right handle charging and losing your Ejection port cover?

I personally would prefer left hand for a battle weapon, Right hand charge for a Sniper/DMR/SPR build.

I thought I saw ASA advertising this a looong way back but they never seemed to have product.

SOCOM Manuf. produced a billet version very briefly.
