Chop to 14.5 and find a NF 1-4 or 2.5-10.

1-4 BlockII-ish

1-4

2.5-10

Got the SPRECCE out to distance today. 830 yards in 20 mph winds with 77 TMK on a 24in plate, check! Really impressed by this rifle. Nice shot Utah got of me. No, I wasn't shooting 830 yards from this position on a swing set 9ft in the air. It was only at 300 and 400

Utah killed it with his badass MK12 Mod 1 also.

I just built pretty much the same upper. I think I'm set on the VX-R patrol 3-9x40 for it.

I'll just say it: Black cans look better than FDE cans, especially when they've been spray-painted.

Totally joking.  That looks like a crap ton of fun.  Good job on shooting that far!!!!!!  I'll know who to hire when we're invaded.......   Who u gonna call? (ghostbusters)

Haha, thanks man. Utah was killing the steel with cheap off the shelf 55gr out to 5-600! The wind was killing our 55gr stuff past 500.

Shot some interesting positions.

Rebuilt the upper this morning. Have I ever mentioned how much I hate timing barrel nuts? I think I suck at it.

Pertinent specs:

-16" Bison Armory Recon

-NF 2.5-10x32 NPR2

-Gemtech Trek

-LaRue 13.2 Rail

Hopefully a nice paint job and break in this weekend weather permitting. I ordered some IMI Razor Core 77 a few weeks ago just for this rifle. It's good to be back in the recce game.

If you can get one for around $500, I think it's great. The clarity is similar to the Vortex 2.5-10x32 I had.  Granted, it's different in that it's 2nd focal plane. The fire dot is nearly red dot bright and the stadia lines are easy to pick up, if a little thick.

For me, I like the Leupold better. Not knocking Vortex at all, and I wouldn't mind picking another up at some point.
I won't be shooting over 500 yards, so FFP spent concern me much.  I also like how much the reticle stand out and how brighter  the illumination is on the Leupold. The thin reticle on the Vortex could help with precision, though. They are so close in many ways, but different enough too, that I'd give the nod to either.

The Leupold definitely has A LOT more contrast in the sight picture and the lines are a lot easier to pick up.  I used them side by side before picking the Leupold 2-7.  Buy the Leupold if you favor speed, buy the Vortex if you favor precision.

It will be used mostly for hunting coyotes, deer and squirrel as well as target shooting up to 300yards.

If you're only going to 300yds, save your money and buy something with capped turrets.

Got impatient while I waited for my 18" Rainier Ultra Match + Lantac SC upper to get wrapped up so I went and head through on the bipod and new scope on my 14.5" upper. Completely ridiculous, but still looked snazzy. This uppers usually has a EXPS2-0 and just the AFG, no bipod.

That's the puny 1-4.

If it were a 1-8, at that price, it'd already be gone.

Nice! That Mod H was too nice not to have the right optic.  Now it's perfect.

I am thinking of going with he recce rail on mine and the Ace SCOCOM stock too.  I'll probably put the Leopold back on, the NF is really nice but the Leopold has always served me well.
