What is the quality of the CMMG 16” M10 Mid-Length MedCon Upper?

What is the stock bolt? Bolt quailty?

I am looking at the rifle length rail with a lowpro gas block and flip up front sights.

Will this upper mate well with a RRA lower?

cmmg is good stuff and they do good work. I had them put their 14.5 lightweight middy bbl assembly on my m16 slick side receiver and the work is top notch. i almost went med-con but i decided on light as possible. i don't have one of their bcg's but wouldn't hesitate to use one.

great thing is i had the upper back a week after i mailed the receiver. i figure 2 days in shop and the rest shipping. that is fast for a custom assembly.

don't get the std. handguards, they not as nice as what's on my rra middy.

color is a perfect match with rra.

CMMG makes sure all parts are mil-spec and their fit/finish is better than LMT. Course LMT is mil-spec, yet no one I know has seen any of their stuff in the field, so who knows.

You might want to consider changing your handle before endorsing a product.

I have an upper. Quality is OK at best, but it works. It just took some work to get it that way.

I love my CMMG stuff, but to answer this one question:

I have three Rock River Arms lowers, and have the damned-est time getting CMT, CMMG or Bushmaster uppers to fit without a ridiculous amount of forcing.

I'm not new at this, I know that "tight" is normal, but I mean "put the flat top on a flat surface upside down, lean on the lower with FULL weight, tap pin with hammer" tight.

I have one, a CMT upper on a RRA lower, that I have to smack over my knee to get apart.

I have two Stag and one Bushmaster lower, and those same uppers fit on them perfectly.

Having said all that, I LOVE CMMG, and will buy more from them, but will be going with lowers "other than RRA" from now on.

If those RRA lowers are older ones, those were known for being pretty tight.
