Can an A2 aperture be used on an A 1 upper? I'd like to put a NM aperture on my A1. If not, does anyone know of an improved aftermarket A1 aperture? Thanks!

Yes it can be changed............just punch the pins out and unscrew the screw holding the aperture on and switch it out.

I have A2 aps on both my A1 uppers. Prefer them. Straight swap. Just don't loose that eensie weensie pin...............

+1 - I actually use the XS Same plane A2 sight aperture on my A1 uppers

can you change the apperature on a ARMS #40 BUIS and if so is it just a normal apperature

It's been a long time since I looked at one but as I recall the #40 uses a normal A2 aperture, windage screw and windage knob.

Yes I've done that as well.

The only one you can't change is the ARMS #40L
