I just purchased a Colt M4 barrel, and when I installed the Frt. Sight base, the pin holes in the base will not line up with the slots in the barrel. Iwas wondering if I need to purchase a Colt frt sight base?

Any help will be appreciated, thank you!!

Front sight bases are drilled at the factory on a jig.  Even if you manage to find a Colt FSB there is no garantee it will align.  These parts were not meant to be taken apart or swapped (especially by the consumer).

Your best bet is to find an undrilled base (Fulton-Armory carries these) and a skilled machinist who could align the proper tools precisely enough.  CMMG recently indicated they had the tools and experience doing this kind of job.  I'd suggest contacting them.
